I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I grew up in rural Northern California, I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology from CSU Hayward and my Masters in Counseling at CSU Sacramento. Throughout my career I have worked in mental health facilities, private practice, schools, and hospitals. I have spent years working with children, adolescents, adults, medical professionals, LGBTQ+, parents, and couples. I have sought additional training in parent child interaction therapy (PCIT), mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR), and Gottman couples therapy. For the past several years I have had the opportunity to train new therapists as a Clinical Supervisor for a school based counseling program that covers the state of California.
In my personal life I enjoy volunteering with the Red Cross, reading, spending time outdoors, and playing video games. I feel very passionate about making the world a better place one interaction at a time. The therapeutic relationship is essential for your success in therapy so finding a therapist who is a good fit is a must. Please feel free to reach out to schedule an appointment with me to find out if I am the right therapist for you.
